Working to Restore Water to Undamaged Homes
Forest Springs has started the process to restore water service to the homes undamaged by the recent fires. We hope to have full service available in 2-3 weeks.
We are finalizing plans tomorrow and should start working to pressurize our lines this week. We have isolated the lines to the burn area and will now be checking for leaks and service to the remaining houses. We will have to to bypass lines damaged by the fire and plan to serve some homes with a direct connection to our service line.
Please be advised that we are still under a Don’t Drink/Don’t Boil order from the state. We are also under a strict conservation order so use water sparingly per the state order when service resumes.
We were not allowed into Forest Springs to inspect our water system until Sept.10.
In 11 days we were able to assess the damage, isolate the lines to the burn area, put together a plan to restore water and start the process. We want to thank the board members and volunteers from the community for their help.
There is still work to be done but we see restoration of water service soon.
