Do Not Drink/Do Not Boil Order Continues

As we have shared, the State of California has instructed Forest Springs IMA to issue a DO NOT DRINK/DO NOT BOIL order until further notice. It is still in effect.

The State did approve our VOC water testing process and those tests were conducted Feb 22 at 8 mutually agreed-upon sites within the Forest Springs water distribution system. Cypress Water Testing in Watsonville is doing the testing. Once the results are ready (approx. one week), the test results will be sent to Sacramento. As a reminder, the State needs to authorize the lift of the order. We have also been advised this State review phase can take up to a month. If there are any VOCs present in the water, there will be additional tests required which will make the process even longer.

Until we complete the entire process to the State’s satisfaction, the DO NOT DRINK/DO NOT BOIL order remains in effect for all Forest Springs households.
